Masa di Malaysia, suami saya,Amran suka makan Apple Puff yang dijual di McDonald tu ataupun puding roti berinti epal yang dijual oleh satu bakeri Melayu(dulu bakeri ni ada kat kawasan kedai depan Kondo Taman Melati tu tapi sekarang dah pindah mana ntah). Dari sehari ke sehari nak cuba buat Apple Pie tapi asyik bertangguh sehinggalah Ahad lepas. Benarnya Amran ada membeli buku resepi semasa kami berjalan ke Wales beberapa minggu lepas. Resepi ni bukan resepi Apple Puff ataupun Apple Pie, namanya Eve's Pudding. Rasanya saya lebih suka Eve's Pudding berbanding Apple Pie yg biasa tu. Ini resepinya:Bahan:
4 auns mentege-dilembutkan
4 auns gula
2 biji telur
4 auns tepung gandum
Secubit garam
1.5-2 paun epal- dikupas, dibuang tengahnya dan dihiris nipis
(panggil apa ye bhgn tgh epal tu?)
4 auns gula kastor
2 kuntum bunga cengkih
Cara:
1- Panaskan oven pada 375 darjah kepansana atau aras 5.
2- Gris bekas yang akan digunakan untuk membakar.
3- Pukul gula dan mentega sampai kembang dan ringan. Masukkan telur dan pukul lagi.
4- Masukkan tepung dan garam.
5- Atur sebahagian dari hirisan epal dalam bekas bakar, taburkan gula kastor ke atasnya dan letakkan kuntuman bunga cengkih.
6- Susun lebihan hirisan epal di gula kastor.
7- Tuang dan ratakan bancuhan awal tadi ke atas hirisan epal.
8- Bakar sehingga kuning keemasan.
Nota:
*Untuk hidangan 6-8 orang. *Hidangan ini tidak sesuai untuk dibahagi-bahagikan kepada kengkawan atau jiran. Kalau nak bagi kena bagi sebekas betul sebab tak nampak comel bila dipotong ;)
