Biasakan kita dengar orang-orang di sekeliling kita menuturkan ayat sebegini "Issyy... menyesal aku tak kawin awal".
Saya sebenarnya agak pelik jugak bila terdengar orang cakap macam tu.

Disoerder in Court
Korang pernah tgk drama bersiri The Practice? Dah lama jugak cerita ni. Tahun 1997-2000 dulu cerita antara drama bersiri yang best la kat US. Takat ni aku tak jumpa lagi drama mengenai peguam atau kes-kes mahkamah yang menarik keluaran Malaysia.
Bukan nak kutuk barang keluaran negara sendiri, tapi itulah hakikatnya. Tengok jelah rating siri-siri macam CSI, Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives dan banyak lagi. Walaupun ada jalan cerita tu ada yg tak/kurang logik, tapi kita boleh maafkan sebab penulis script tu tak memperbodohkan kita (insulting our intelligence) sepertimana drama-drama usop selam yg memang bodoh piang tu. Aku rasa aku boleh dapat tekanan darah tinggi disertai sakit mental yang kritikal kalau aku cuba menonton drama-drama usop selam ni.
Apa pun aku sebenarnya bukan nak bercerita pasal kerendahan IQ drama-drama usop selam, aku nak kongsi cerita-cerita benar yang berlaku dalam mahkamah kat US sana yg orang bukukan dalam buku bertajuk 'Disorder in American Court'.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
These are from a book called Disorder in the American Courts, and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and now published by court reporters who had the torment of staying calm while these exchanges were actually taking place.

Seven Steps to Get Out of Debt
I know it's a not very good time to talk about getting out of our debt. What with the inflation rising high, unsure of tomorrow economy stability and lots of other things.
However, I'd still like to share this information which I found at oprah.com These steps were suggested by financial expert Dave Ramsey.
1-Save $1,000 Cash as a Starter Emergency Fund
Money magazine says that 78 percent of us will have a major negative event in a given 10-year period of time. Life happens, so be ready. Stop everything and focus. Twist and wring out the budget, work extra hours, sell something, or have a garage sale, but quickly get your $1,000.
2- Pay Off All Your Debt Using the Debt Snowball
List all your debts (except the house) in order of smallest payoff balance to largest. Then pay the minimum payment to stay current on all the debts except the smallest. Every dollar you can find from anywhere in your budget goes toward the smallest debt until it is paid. Once the smallest is paid, the payment from that debt is added to the next smallest debt. When debt number two is paid off, you attack three, and so on.
3-Finish the Emergency Fund
A fully funded emergency fund covers three to six months of expenses. When the big stuff happens, like the job layoff or the blown car engine, you can't depend on credit cards. If you use debt to cover emergencies, you have backtracked. A strong foundation in your financial house includes the big savings account, which will be used just for emergencies.
4- Invest 15 Percent of Your Income in Retirement
The rule is simple: Invest 15 percent of before-tax gross income annually toward retirement. Make the most of your 401K at work especially if your company matches. Invest in a diverse portfolio of mutual funds with a good track record. And put the rest of the 15 percent into a Roth IRA.
Note:In our case as Malaysians, this is the same as investing in our KWSP. However, the recent news about RM5 billion taken out of our KWSP as a loan to an unknown company called Valuecap is indeed very disturbing. Refer to perakexpress.com
5- Save for College
When you save for your child's college tuition, you must make at least seven percent per year on your investment to keep up with inflation increases. I suggest funding college with an Educational Savings Account funded in a growth stock mutual fund. The ESA grows tax free when used for higher education.
Note: Again, the ESA is for Americans. My suggestion is we just need to do some research about the most profitable education fund available in Malaysia. Err.. definitely not the PTPTN.
6- Pay Off Your Home Mortgage
Put all of the intensity and financial power you put toward your debt snowball to pay your house off as quickly as possible. Imagine how good the grass will feel under your feet when it's paid for. Without a house payment you have control of your greatest wealth-building tool—your income.
7- Build Wealth
Here's the payoff. After all your hard work you have finally gained control of your most powerful wealth-building tool and it is yours to do with as you will. You have all this financial muscle, so now you should do something intentional with it. Have fun, invest and give.

Akademi Nasyid
Masa minggu pertama tengok Akademi Nasyid ni pun dah suka suara Azhan ni.
Tengok je lah video ni. Aris Ariwatan pun ala-ala tergugat gitu. Dia orang duet lagu Permaidani. Menusuk kalbu beb!

When U look in the Eyes
I love this song. Especially the part of lyrics which I've highlighted :)
"When You Look Me In The Eyes" by JONAS BROTHERS
If the heart is always searching,
Can you ever find a home?
I've been looking for that someone,
I'll never make it on my own
Dreams can't take the place of loving you,
There's gotta be a million reasons why it's true.
When you look me in the eyes,
And tell me that you love me.
Everything's alright,
When you're right here by my side.
When you look me in the eyes,
I catch a glimpse of heaven.
I find my paradise,
When you look me in the eyes.
How long will I be waiting,
To be with you again
Gonna tell you that I love you,
In the best way that I can.
I can't take a day without you here,
You're the light that makes my darkness disappear.
When you look me in the eyes,
And tell me that you love me.
Everything's alright,
When you're right here by my side.
When you look me in the eyes,
I catch a glimpse of heaven.
I find my paradise,
When you look me in the eyes.
More and more, I start to realize,
I can reach my tomorrow,
I can hold my head up high,
And it's all because you're by my side.
When you look me in the eyes,
And tell me that you love me.
Everything's alright,
When you're right here by my side.
When I hold you in my arms,
I know that it's forever.
I just gotta let you know,
I never wanna let you go.
When you look me in the eyes.
And tell me that you love me.
Everything's alright,
When you're right here by my side.
When you look me in the eyes,

Among my favorite months..
Mid April to Mid June every year is among the time I am waiting for. It is the time for NBA Playoffs. I know some people might not understand what is so great about basketball compared to soccer.
Great things about basketball are the fast movement from one end to the other, the techniques in the offensive and defensive moves, and the tactics used in the play. Most of all, if your team down 5 points with 30 seconds left, you can still win the game. Fantastics isn't it?
I have few teams I'm rooting for. How can that be possible? Well, if I root for just one team and they get eliminated early in the playoff, then I don't have any team to root for :D. I know it sounds funny. Because what if any two of my favorite teams match each other up? I'll usually go for the underdogs.
Anyhow, I'm quite upset today because one of my favorite teams-the Phoenix Suns (actually the Phoenix Suns is the top in my list)got eliminated in the playoffs first round series. And worst, they got beaten by the San Antonio Spurs which I hate so much.
I feel very upset now. Feel like crying. Huhuhuu...
Among my favorite players:
Steve Nash (short but very talented)

Chauncey Billups(not so black 'black guy' who's know how to lead his team)

Kevin Garnett (he's so black like arang but no one can stop his aggressiveness in the court)

Mimpi Yang Tak Sudah
Siapakah di antara kita
Dengan rela menjadi pendusta
Siapakah dulu membina harapan
Dan siapa yang memusnahkan impian
Tanpa sebab dan alasan
Kau mainkan perasaan
Bagai taufan
Tiba-tiba datang
Dan menghilang
Apa maknanya kau datang...kalau sekadar untuk bertandang
Apa maknanya kau hadir... kalau kemudiannya aku terpinggir
Mungkin....

Nothing personal about this post. Whenever I listen to a song that captures my interest, I'll always try to imagine how such song is created. So those italic print are not really me, but 'me' taking position in the singer's shoes ;)

From This Moment On...
Last Monday is my very first anniversary. I can hardly believe that we've been married for already a year. It might not seems much to others who've been married longer than I am, but to someone who has once decided not to marry at all, YES!!! it does mean a lot! :)
Right from the 1st time I heard this song- From This Moment On from Shania Twain- I've decided that it'll be the song that I'll dedicate to the person who's gonna be my husband. At that time, somewhere in 1997-1999, I haven't even have a boyfriend yet. It took me almost 10 years to find the right person to dedicate this meaningful song to. Hope you'll enjoy the song as much as I do.
"From This Moment On"
(I do swear that I'll always be there.
I'd give anything and everything and I will always care.
Through weakness and strength, happiness and sorrow,
for better for worse, I will love you with
every beat of my heart.)
From this moment life has begun
From this moment you are the one
Right beside you is where I belong
From this moment on
From this moment I have been blessed
I live only for your happiness
And for your love I'd give my last breath
From this moment on
I give my hand to you with all my heart
Can't wait to live my life with you, can't wait to start
You and I will never be apart
My dreams came true because of you
From this moment as long as I live
I will love you, I promise you this
There is nothing I wouldn't give
From this moment on
You're the reason I believe in love
And you're the answer to my prayers from up above
All we need is just the two of us
My dreams came true because of you
From this moment as long as I live
I will love you, I promise you this
There is nothing I wouldn't give
From this moment
I will love you as long as I live

Chicken & Samy
It takes an Indian to understand another Indian :)
#################
Samy Vellu was visiting India when he fell and broke his jaw.
He was unable to speak. Being the great leader that he is, he continued his grand tour.
On the last week of his visit, although unable to speak, Samy insisted on sending a message home to his Cabinet colleagues. Samy caught a chicken and showed it to the camera. Next he took a goat, and showed it to the camera. Finally he took a bag and displayed it in front of the camera.
Dr Ling was the first to see the video clip. He said, 'Samy is telling us that India has insufficient food because he showed us a chicken and a goat and he wants Malaysia to donate bags of rice.'
Mahathir watched silently then said,'No lah....what Samy is trying to
say is HE IS COMING BACK.
The whole Cabinet was puzzled and look to the old man for an
explanation. Mahathir reasoned, 'AYAM KAMBING BAG.'
('I am coming back' in Indian accent).

Joke of the day
My husband hardly laugh at funny incidents/stories. No matter how funny a movie is, he just smiles. No matter how hilarious the way I narrated certain jokes that I read/ heard, he just smiles.
However, things change last nite while we were eating out at Burger King. I was telling him a joke that I received through email from my friend. He was really making an effort not to laugh out loud at the joke. Hehehe...
Here is the joke:
SATU!!! jerit semua orang-orang asli.
Abu pula kembali membawa 10 biji anggur. Abu merasa takdelah susah mana. Dari jauh Amat mendengar orang-orang asli menjerit SATU!!! DUA!!!! TIGA!!! EMPAT!!!LIMA!!! ENAM!!!> > TUJUH!!! LAPAN!!!!, tiba-tiba Amat terdengar Abu ketawa terbahak-baha.
Beberapa minit kemudian Abu diletakkan bersebelahan Amat dalam kawah besar.
"Weiii yang ko gelak apehal???...ko dah nak lepas tadi dah!!" bentak Amat.
Abu jawab "takleh tahanla beb...tengah aku relax2 sumbat anggur tiba2
Budin balik bawak durian 10 bijik".
:)

Lost Ballonist
A man is flying in a hot air balloon and realizes he is lost.
He reduces height and spots a man down below.
He lowers the balloon further and shouts, "Excuse me, can you tell me where I am?"
The man below says, "Yes, you're in a hot air balloon, hovering 50 feet above this
field. "
"You must be an engineer", says the balloonist.
"I am", replies the man. "How did you know?"
"Well", says the balloonist, "everything you have told me is technically correct,
but it's of no use to anyone."
The man below says, "You must be in management."
"I am", replies the balloonist, "but how did you know?"
"Well", says the man, "you don`t know where you are, or where you`re going, but you
expect me to be able to help. You're in the same position you were before we met, but somehow now it's my fault."
*Note: No pun intended towards people from managment side. Just that this joke reminds me of an acquintance during my study years. He was majoring in business study. He was boasting about how much money people in management will make compared to engineers despite the fact that engineering students spend most of their time studying. Hemm... I wonder how much he is making now?....

Mee Bandung
A little something for all of you :)
sehingga anaknya nanti berusia 18 tahun.
Supaya rahsia mereka berdua tidak terbongkar, Ahmad Suffian
menyuruh Sutina supaya menghantarkan sekeping poskad dengan menulis perkataan
"Mee Bandung" dibelakangnya setelah anak mereka lahir nanti.

A man is taking a walk in Central park in New York . Suddenly he sees a little girl being attacked by a pit bull dog. He runs over and starts fighting with the dog. He succeeds in killing the dog and saving the girl's life.
A policeman who was watching the scene walks over and says: 'You are a hero, tomorrow you can read it in all the newspapers: 'Brave New Yorker saves the life of little girl'.
The man says: 'But I am not a New Yorker!'
Oh then it will say in newspapers in the morning: Brave American saves life of little girl' the policeman answers.
But I am not an American!' - says the man.
'Oh, what are you then?' asks the policeman.
The man says: 'I am a Pakistani!'
The next day the newspapers say: 'A Terrorist kills innocent American dog'.

When You're Gone..
I just love this song... especially the part 'I MISS YOU'..
Yes.. i do miss you my dear husband :*
And I hope the 'when you're gone' part will never happen. Well..except when we part to go to work of course...hehehe..
Avril Lavigne "When You're Gone"
Album: "The Best Damn Thing"
Lyrics:
I always needed time on my own
I never thought I'd need you there when I cried
And the days feel like years when I'm alone
And the bed where you lie
is made up on your side
When you walk away
I count the steps that you take
Do you see how much I need you right now?
When you're gone
The pieces of my heart are missing you
When you're gone
The face I came to know is missing too
When you're gone
All the words I need to hear to always get me through the day
And make it OK
I miss you
I've never felt this way before
Everything that I do
Reminds me of you
And the clothes you left
they lie on the floor
And they smell just like you
I love the things that you do
When you walk away
I count the steps that you take
Do you see how much I need you right now?
When you're gone
The pieces of my heart are missing you
When you're gone
The face I came to know is missing too
And when you're gone
The words I need to hear to always get me through the day
And make it OK
I miss you
We were made for each other
Out here forever
I know we were
Yeah Yeah
All I ever wanted was for you to know
Everything I do I give my heart and soul
I can hardly breathe I need to feel you here with me
Yeah
When you're gone
The pieces of my heart are missing you
When you're gone
The face I came to know is missing too
When you're gone
The words I need to hear will always get me through the day
And make it OK
