Winter is officially here!

It started to snow yesterday, during wee hours I think. We woke up around 5.50 a.m. yesterday morning and our waste bins in the backyard were already wearing snow hats :) It is considered early to be snowing at this time of the year. End of December, January and February are the peak winter months. Enjoy the pics. Some are taken during my walk home yesterday evening and some were taken this morning from inside of a car.
The long walk home, yesterday evening @ 6pm.
Started to snow heavily during my walk home.

The street where we live.

Yup! Those waste bins are wearing snow hats ;)
(this morning around 830am)

Our street this morning, after last night snow.

See the sloshy dark snow on the road? One might think it looks ugly compare to its white companion. Snow on the road has to be treated with road salt (read here and here about road salt) so that it melts. The snow cannot be left to freeze because when it freezes, the road surely becomes slippery and hazardous.

On the way to school this morning...

Passing through the park near our flat.

Love this pic :) How the sunshine is reflected onto the snowy trees.

An 'OPEN' signboard to indicate open parking space available. yeah! I know nothing to do with the snow.

Najla: Pemandangan memang cantik. Sejuk memang tak terkata :) Walaupun ada terik matahari (sometimes), suhu masih negatif gitu.

NenekPenne:
Best untuk the first few days je. Bila salji menimbun-nimbun, jalan-jalan besar je council tabur garam. Jalan-jalan kecik memang licin & kereta tak boleh nak keluar masuk. Kalau you nak datang jejalan UK musim sejuk, pakailah tebal2. Kalau tak, mungkin demam.

terima kasih follow :)

Insya-Allah, semoga ada rezeki anak encik nanti. Cantik memang cantik, tapi sejuklah. Family saya datang musim panas pun mereka kata sejuk. Tapi kalau di bahagian selatan UK, rasanya cuaca kurang sejuk berbanding utara UK.
