Strawberry Shortcake

 My grandma & me ~THAT! is my husband's finger on the camera screen :S

Went for strawberry picking last 2 weeks. Brought along my grandma with us, so she can experienced the fruit picking season. Learnt from past lesson, DO NOT PICK ENDLESSLY because we'll end up with baskets of strawberries and then turn that into sauce/jam which we are of course unable to finish.

The strawberries sit in the box for over a week. I plan and plan to make something out of them but there's always a reason not to. So, last Saturday morning, I finally succeeded in pushing myself to make Strawberry Shortcakes based on Nigella's recipes. The RESULT? Ummm... Yummy. The shortcakes are just like what the recipe said it should be, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
